The story behind Rooftop Weather
I’m a storm chaser, photographer, and outdoor storyteller driven by a lifelong passion for weather and the natural world.

Rooftop Weather began with a curious kid sitting on a rooftop, looking up at the sky and wondering what was happening above.
​
That rooftop became the place where my lifelong passion for weather would grow much deeper. To this day, I still find myself climbing back up there, watching storms roll in, taking in the atmosphere, and appreciating the ever-changing beauty of the sky.
​
That curiosity eventually led me beyond the rooftop and onto the roads, chasing storms across the country in search of those rare moments when nature puts on its greatest displays. For over two decades now, I have chased weather across the country, searching for the perfect storm. From towering supercells and tornadoes to lightning-filled skies, I am drawn to the moments when the atmosphere comes alive.

But Rooftop Weather has always been about more than storms.

It's about exploring the wild places that inspire us and the experiences that bring us closer to the natural world. From hiking rugged mountain landscapes to discovering wildlife in unexpected places, I believe there is something powerful about stepping outside and experiencing the beauty that surrounds us.

For decades, I have traveled across the country in search of powerful supercells, dramatic storm structure, tornadoes, and the rare moments when the atmosphere comes alive. But the same curiosity that leads me beneath a towering storm also draws me into wild landscapes, along remote trails, and toward unexpected encounters with wildlife.
